In February 2012 UNA Twickenham & Richmond was proud to host a talk by Sir Jeremy Greenstock, former UK Ambassador to the UN in New York and now Chair of the United Nations Association. Sir Jeremy's very wide-ranging talk included fine details about the operation of the Security Council including events leading up to the war in Iraq and the lack of a resolution to bring about UN sponsored action in Syria. The challenges facing the UN now and in the future were considered in depth. | ||||||||||
